Halcyon Featured Exploration Project:
Ocean Discovery

Ocean Discovery is an association of GUE-trained mixed gas divers dedicated to underwater exploration worldwide. Using breathing gases containing Helium, they are able to reach depths far beyond the limits of conventional scuba diving. Sophisticated side scan sonar enables them to profile the ocean's floor to find what, to this date, has been hidden under the oceans. Utilizing sophisticated underwater video equipment, dive gear and lighting made by Halcyon, they cooperate with production companies around the world to produce TV documentaries. Ocean Discovery also cooperates with leading magazines to deliver intriguing and interesting reports on their exploration efforts.

Ocean Discovery is a brand new association founded by former core members from the well known diving organisation BSTD, Baltic sea Technical Divers. Divers from Ocean Discovery have taken part in numerous international projects world wide including exploration of the Titanic's sister ship, HMHS Britannic. In fact, we, together with GUE, have done more hours on the hull and inside Britannic than any other dive team. These efforts have contributed vital information to informing a new understanding of the fate of the once-mighty ship.

We need to discover our past to be able to wisely head into the future.We need to understand how beautiful and fascinating our world really is in order to raise our environmental concerns. We, like Christopher Columbus and Jacques Custau amongst others, have a burning desire to explore our world, to find answers and to live our life to the fullest.

One of Ocean Discovery's main goals is to make the general public aware of our historic heritage and unexplored world. We intend to do that using video documentaries, stunning photo and presentation on our Internet site from all of our projects and new discoveries. We will reveal all and hold back nothing information wise. Discovery and exploration are what we are all about. We hope that you will find our site interesting and fascinating.
