Halcyon Dry Suit Accessories

Extreme Drysuit DivingDoing It Right diving incorporates a total system of gear selection and management. Our experience with cave and extended range ocean diving gives us an understanding of what accessories are needed to make dry suit diving as comfortable and useful as possible. When your CEO spends his days off making dry sit dives with 8 - 14 hour decompression schedules, you can bet that all of the bases are covered when it comes to maximizing dry suit efficiency.

Our Streamline P-Valve is truely a hydration kit for divers. Studies indicate that dehydration can increase the possibility of a decompression-related sickness. Our valve allows divers to maintain proper hydration before and during a dive-- and yet still remain dry throughout the dive. We're even seeing wet suit divers install our discharge valves; during extended periods of diving, especially while diving from a live-aboard boat, our valves can help keep your suit from getting skunked. No more stink, no more rash.

Halcyon's other drysuit accessories, such as our pockets, inflation kits, and gator wraps, allow you to fine-tune your suit to maximize your dive.

DIR Tip 66
Regulator second stages should be selected with a specific purpose in mind. Will it be used as a primary or backup? Will it perhaps be used on a stage or deco bottle? Many divers prefer a high-performance balanced second stage as their primary regulator and a slightly lower performance unbalanced second stage as their backup regulator.

This proven configuration gives divers the best of both worlds with regards to performance and reliability. The balanced second stage offers maximum performance and ease of breathing while the unbalanced second stage inspires confidence gained from the knowledge of a safe and reliable backup.

In all instances avoid cheap "octopus" second stages and combination BC inflators/back-up regulators. The former can't be relied upon at depth while the latter is unnecessarily complex and introduces new failure points.
