Halcyon's
Multifunction Compensator is a complete "doing it right" kit for every
diving application. The MC's modular design allows you to modify your set-up
to fit your dive. A complete MC includes a buoyancy wing and selections from
the following list appropriate to local dive conditions:

Semi-Closed Lift Devices |

are discovering that lift bags are useful for much more than just
salvage and underwater lifting. Halcyon's lift bags can be inflated
through a low pressure inflator hose and feature a one-way valve
to ensure that the bag will maintain lift all the way to the surface.
Whether used as a
marker device while at depth, supplemental surface flotation,
or as a signaling device, lift bags provide an added margin of
safety and comfort. Halcyon lift bags fold so small they can store
in the Halcyon thigh pocket or Backplate Pak
Halcyon
now includes a Semi-Closed Circuit 60lb. Lift Bag in their lift
device product line. Halcyon's SCC 60 was designed to allow for
easy lift inflation for a wet suit diver who wouldn't otherwise
have a spare low-pressure inflation hose handy. Designed to be filled
by a diver's second stage regulator, the SCC 60 combines the ease
of inflation of a traditional bell-bottomed lift bag with an over-pressure
release valve to dial in a precise amount of lift and to prevent
damage caused by over-inflation at depth.
SCC 60
- Semi-closed circuit
design, perfect for wet suit divers
- Over-presure valve
allows for lift modulation during salvage lift operations
- Baffled inflation
chamber prevents accidental dumping in rough conditions
CC 80 &
185
Of course, Halcyon's Closed Circuit 80 and 185lb. lift bags are
still the industry standard for technical applications where precise
control over lift and surface control are essential.
- Closed circuit design
means the object of a difficult search will reach the surface
without the risk of inadvertently dumping, losing buoyancy
- Safety orange color
is easy to spot by passing surface or air traffic
- Available in 80
lbs. and 185 lbs. lift capacities
- All Halcyon lift
bags attach to a low pressure inflator hose using a No-Lock
connector and can be orally inflated when necessary
Specifications: OPV
Valve, sea rescue orange, RF welded, single bag construction,
No-Lock connector, stainless steel attachment hardware and elastic
cord retainer

To prevent an out-of-control lift, the diver must
first try to match the lift capacity of the bag to the weight of
the object for example, use a 100 pound bag on a 100 pound anchor,
or as close as possible. In this way, the excess air is vented out
of the bag, never generating more than 100 pounds of lift. Secondly,
with larger bags, the diver should be prepared to vent excess air
from the bag as it rises to the surface. For safety, the diver must
be careful not to get his or her gear entangled in the rigging,
must never get above or below the load and should not exceed the
recommended safe ascent rate for a scuba diver.
